More Adventurous
Measuring 2642m, Mount Trusmadi is the second highest peak in Malaysia.
The trails and area of Mount Trusmadi are rich with biological diversity;
endemic species (those unique only to the mountain or its area) thrive
along the slopes and summit.
The trip to the summit is quite interesting and very challenging – if you want
to try something different, that's challenging and extra-adventurous here in Sabah,
this is your best option. On the summit you can witness the most amazing view
of the majestic Mount Kinabalu with the green, soft in the eye – the oldest
rainforest in the world as your backdrop. It’s a beautiful picture in your
mind that you’ll not forget – only from the summit of Mount Trusmadi.
Located about 70 km south-east of Kota Kinabalu. Registration of climbers is a must
with the Tambunan Forestry Department before proceeding with the climb and hiring
local mountain guides is strictly required before the attempt. Open daily, yet
advance reservation/ booking are highly recommended.
