Oddbjorn Faugstad

Oddbjorn is a NCA certified white water instructor and spent most of his career as a member of, or managing, Security, rescue and emergency response teams. Oddbjorn has had close ties to Riverbug for more than 12 years, and has been working on safety issues with Riverbug's management for most of this time.

In addition to his NCA certification he is also certified as a: Rescue Diver, Paramedic, Fire Fighter and Head CPR Instructor. Oddbjorn have been a white water enthusiast for more than 20 years, and have been an instructor for more than 10. He has trained in River Rafting, Kayaking and River boarding, and guided trips in several countries.

In Norway, Oddbjorn was a white water kayaking instructor for Oslo Elvepadleklubb, one of Norway's largest whitewater Kayaking clubs.

In addition to ensuring that all Riverbug crews are trained in river safety, first aid, and rescue techniques, Oddbjorn also works for one of the worldĄŻs largest Risk Management consulting firms, where his work has taken him to Singapore, Indonesia, Nepal, Hong Kong, China, Malaysia, Thailand, Africa, India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka and on offshore projects in the South China Sea and Straits of Malacca.

With more 15 years experience from managing security and safety operations in Europe and abroad, he brings a wealth of operational experience, and ensures that rafting with Riverbug is a fun filled and safe experience for both our staff and guests.
